On Friday, August 21 at 7:00 p.m., The Leiber Collection will welcome acclaimed singer-songwriter Juliet Garrett for an enchanting evening of music in the museum’s Sculpture Garden.
Surrounded by art, nature, and the beauty of a late-summer evening in the Hamptons, Garrett will perform an intimate selection of original songs celebrating the timeless power of storytelling, melody, and human connection.
Raised on Shelter Island and now based in Brooklyn, Garrett has brought her “mesmerizing” performances to stages throughout the United States and Europe, captivating audiences with a sound described as “unique, fresh, and powerful.” Camden Live has called her music “a remedy for the soul,” while Independent Music News praised her songwriting for evoking “the best seventies songwriters while still remaining fresh.”
For those drawn to the artistry of Joni Mitchell, Regina Spektor, and classic singer-songwriters, Garrett offers a distinctive contemporary voice rooted in honest lyrics, memorable melodies, and deeply personal storytelling. Her performances have a rare intimacy, inviting audiences to slow down, listen, and share in the moment.
The evening comes at an exciting time for Garrett, who is currently preparing a new album scheduled for release in 2027. The album is being produced by her longtime collaborator Godfrey Furchtgott, whose credits include Demi Lovato and Grace VanderWaal, with mixing by George Perks and mastering by Joe Lambert.
