In 2005, Gerson and Judith Leiber built a museum to house their art collection and chronicle their careers, offering an unparalleled retrospective of their creations over the past decades.
Gerson Leiber: The Poetry of Geometry and Color
The Leiber Collection is pleased to present Gerson Leiber: The Poetry of Geometry and Color, an exhibition celebrating a dynamic decade in the career of artist Gerson Leiber. This focused presentation brings together works that reflect Leiber’s immersion in abstraction and his dialogue with modernist movements that fused emotion, geometry, and color into poetic visual form.
The Garden of Friends
Each spring, The Leiber Collection welcomes the season with The Garden of Friends, an annual outdoor exhibition set within the Leiber Sculpture Garden. This beloved series celebrates an outstanding group of East End artists whose work reflects the region’s rich creative legacy and deep connection to the natural landscape. Thoughtfully integrated throughout the garden, the artworks invite visitors to experience art in dialogue with nature, encouraging reflection, discovery, and a sense of community.
Viva Verdi ~ Opera in the Leiber Sculpture Garden
An intimate concert featuring music from some of beloved Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi’s most famous operas, including Il Trovatore, La Traviata and Rigoletto, with two world-class opera singers accompanied by piano.
Animated by Art Marionette-Making Workshop Series and Showcase
This summer, the Leiber Collection invites you to step into a world of whimsy, creativity, and motion with Animated by Art—a captivating marionette-making workshop series led by master marionette artist Kim Profaci.
Luminous Poems inspired by Luminaries Judith and Gerson Leiber

Artists Talk ~ Bastienne Schmidt and Phillipe Cheng
The Leiber Collection is delighted to host distinguished artists Bastienne Schmidt and Philippe Cheng for an intimate Artist Talk on Sunday, July 13 at 4:00 PM, as part of the ongoing Garden of Friends exhibition series. Free admission with reservation.
