The Leiber Collection is pleased to present Judith and Gerson Leiber: A Passion for Fashion, a vibrant exhibition celebrating the extraordinary creative partnership between Judith Leiber, renowned for her iconic handbags, and Gerson Leiber, a master printmaker and accomplished abstract and fashion painter.

Opening on Saturday, May 30, from 2 to 5 PM, the exhibition explores the shared artistic life of Judith and Gerson Leiber, shaped by a deep and enduring commitment to beauty, craftsmanship, and imagination. Judith Leiber’s celebrated handbags, distinguished by their meticulous construction, inventive forms, and sense of play, are presented in dialogue with Gerson Leiber’s fashion paintings, created concurrently with the handbags themselves. Displayed and sold in the Leiber showroom, Gerson’s paintings help define and frame the fashion world of their time.
