THE LEIBER COLLECTION
MUSEUM AND SCULPTURE GARDEN
The Leiber Collection, a magnificent Renaissance-styled Palladian structure, sits majestically in a sublime sculpture garden designed by Gerson Leiber. Considered by many to be the best-kept secret of the Hamptons, you are in for a real treat as you explore the exquisite jewel of a museum and meander through the charming and magical garden. We are open year-round on Saturdays, Sundays, and Wednesdays from 1 – 4 pm and at other times for private or group tours by appointment. We will be closed May 1-29, 2026 for installation.

OPEN THROUGH WED, APR 29, 2026
This landmark exhibition honors the 20th anniversary of The Leiber Collection and celebrates two decades of artistic vision, creativity, and community. Featuring works by Judith and Gerson Leiber alongside selected artists from our Permanent Collection, the exhibition unfolds throughout the galleries and Sculpture Garden, highlighting the breadth and spirit of the Collection.

Gerson Leiber: The Poetry of Geometry and Color

The Leiber Collection is pleased to present Gerson Leiber: The Poetry of Geometry and Color, An exhibition celebrating a dynamic decade in the career of artist Gerson Leiber. This focused presentation brings together works that reflect Leiber’s immersion in abstraction and his dialogue with modernist movements that fused emotion, geometry, and color into poetic visual form.

The Garden of Friends

On May 30, 2026, we are proud to open the 7th annual Garden of Friends exhibition, Ode to the Sea. Inspired by the dynamic presence of the ocean and its influence on life and creativity on the East End, the exhibition will feature works by Laurie Lambrecht, Scott Bluedorn, Bastienne Schmidt, Shane Weeks, Mica Marder, Jeremy Grosvenor, Jill Musnicki, Bill Stewart, and others. The Judith Leiber Collection
PERMANENT
Born in 1921, Judith Peto Leiber was the first female apprentice and master in the Hungarian handbag guild. She survived World War II in hiding, and met her husband Gerson, an American soldier, in the streets of Budapest when the city was liberated. Today, her handbags are included in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Smithsonian Institution, The Victoria and Albert Museum and many other collections.

The Gerson Leiber Collection
PERMANENT
Gerson Leiber was born in Brooklyn in 1921. While stationed in Hungary in the army, he took classes at the Royal Academy of Art in Budapest. After the war, he studied at the Art Students League–painting with Louis Bosa and printmaking with Will Barnet. His prints won many awards and were featured in many one-person shows, including exhibitions at Associated American Artists and the Alex Rosenberg Gallery.

The cost of admission is by donation. One ticket provides entry to all exhibitions. The Leiber Foundation is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. See suggested donations and get tickets.
